 "I love to work, but I also love to take a few mini-vacations every year. That's where new technology once again is my friend. Having so many clients with different needs and deadlines used to be a real hassle when I wanted to cut loose for a golf getaway or a long weekend with my wife. No more, because these days I take my portable studio along with me. I stay in hotels that offer high-speed internet which allows me to readily receive scripts, do phone patch sessions with clients and record voiceovers using ProTools software, just like I do from my home studio. The ultra-directional Sennheiser 416 mic is a big help, too. And so is specialized software I use to eliminate background noise. Sound files are delivered to you over the internet just like always. I am particular about quality and am glad to get reports from clients who say the portable studio sounds just as good as the main home studio at Charlie Glaize Productions. Good to know. And one more thing. I like to travel where I know I'll be close to an ISDN studio should a client need a real-time session.Naturally, I like to have sessions behind me before I leave on vacation, but its nice to know I can do that quick VO when required. I'm here for you, wherever 'here' needs to be!"
